"To be honest, my use for these tags has nothing to do with surgical tools or anything remotely medical. My intention is to use them for the identification of items in a large collection I have. However, I tested them in some of the ways I imagine they are intended to be used. In terms of moisture resistance, these nearly paper thin tags held up excellently under a strong stream of water. When removed, the remaining water simply beaded up on the surface. I tried writing on the tag with a marker and it held the ink perfectly. They are flexible and could be rolled up into a tube without damaging them. The plastic hanging loops work the same way as zip ties. If you only push the pointed tip through, it can be pulled out again; but once you pull past the first nodule, it becomes locked. Over all, I'd say these tags are durable and functional."
